Firepaw Running Chutes are designed to fit the dogs’ specific physical needs.
Wind-resistance training chutes provide overall muscle resistance. They produce ca. 7 to 9 kilograms of resistance, which is similar to running on a windy day, running through water or up a hill. The faster the dog runs, the greater the pull.
*Chutes designed for humans provide 15kg resistance or more. They can often contact the ground if used with dogs because of their size and different fastening.
Firepaw Running Chutes build the fast-twitch muscles of your dog. Fast-twitch muscle fibers are advantageous for short bursts of strength or speed. Fast-twitch muscles also provide explosive speed and fast directional change for your hound. Firepaw Running Chute is good for hunting, sporting, working, agility dogs and also an easy to use everyday tool to improve the general physical condition of your four-legged buddy.

Safety:
Consult Your Veterinarian:
Before starting any resistance training, consult your veterinarian to ensure that the running chute is suitable for your dog’s health condition.
Correct Fit:
Ensure the chute is securely fastened around your dog’s waist without restricting its movement or causing discomfort. Make sure it doesn’t dig into the skin.
Start Slow:
Begin with short, low-intensity sessions to allow your dog to get used to the chute. Increase training duration and intensity gradually as your dog adapts.
Observe Your Dog:
Always watch your dog during training. If signs of fatigue, discomfort, or excessive strain appear, stop the session immediately and allow rest. If discomfort persists, remove the chute and seek advice from a vet.
Use on Safe Surfaces:
Train your dog on safe, smooth surfaces like grass or soft sand to avoid any injury that may occur from abrupt stops or sharp movements while pulling against the chute’s resistance.
Limit Session Length:
Sessions should be kept short (5–15 minutes) to prevent overexertion. Ensure you give your dog adequate time to rest and hydrate after each training session.
Check for Wear:
Inspect the chute regularly for signs of wear and tear, especially after each session. If any part of the equipment is damaged, replace it before the next use.
Avoid Prolonged Use:
Never leave the running chute on your dog for extended periods, especially when unsupervised, to avoid skin irritation or discomfort. Always remove it after the workout.
Store Properly:
When not in use, store the chute in a cool, dry place, away from moisture or extreme temperatures that could degrade the material. Keep it out of reach of pets or children.
